Technical Support Services
We offer technical support services for R, a statistical software package, though we are unaffiliated.
A common criticism of open-source software, such as R, is that official technical support does not usually exist. Nonetheless, official technical support is often unnecessary, because many problems can be solved by searching the Internet and forums. When this does not work, it is desirable to be able to purchase support.
Since STATISTICAT is unaffiliated with R, STATISTICAT can offer only unofficial technical support, and cannot guarantee that all problems that users experience with R can be solved by STATISTICAT.
STATISTICAT will be pleased to offer assistance in Linux, UNIX, and Windows platforms, though we are unfamiliar with Mac.
Examples of support include help with installation, differences between platforms, recommendations for packages and functions, building customized functions or packages, troubleshooting code, making code more efficient, and decreasing run-time.
STATISTICAT owns and maintains the LaplacesDemon package on CRAN.
